I am honored to officially serve as Superintendent of Martinez Unified School District. Having spent 15 years serving this district in a variety of leadership roles, I am deeply committed to the students, staff, families, and community that make MUSD such a special place. I am grateful for the trust and support of our Board of Trustees and look forward to continuing our work together to build on the strengths of our district, strengthen our partnerships, and ensure every student has the opportunities and support they need to succeed.
Celebrating Student Achievements
I am proud to share that MJHS was recognized for the 2026 California Honor Roll. The California Honor Roll uses California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) results from 2024-26 to recognize schools and districts that are driving academic growth and improving student outcomes. Presented by the Educational Results Partnership along with business leaders statewide, this honor identifies educational communities that excel at helping students build the foundational skills needed for college, career, and life. This achievement is a direct reflection of the dedication, hard work, and partnership across the MJHS community. Congratulations to the Bullpups! Thank you to our dedicated and talented staff who nurture their success every day and our families for your collaboration and dedication to making our schools exceptional places to learn.
Congratulations to the AHS Marching Band and Color Guard who competed at the Delta Band Review and received first place for Show Band and our drum majors also won first place in the Open Division.
TK/Kindergarten Enrollment for 2027-2028
TK/K enrollment for the 2027-2028 school year opens on December 1st! If you have a child who will be age-eligible to attend TK or Kindergarten next school year, be sure to enroll them during the priority window of December 1 - January 11. Enrolling during this period gives families the best opportunity for space at their home school. Additional information can be found on the
TK/K Information and
Registration pages of the district website.
Attendance
Although we saw a small dip in attendance at most sites during the month of October as compared to September, MJHS, MPE and JSE all maintained attendance over 96% with JSE making positive growth to 96.84%. Way to go! Your partnership makes it possible for students to come to school every day, on time and ready to learn. Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to connect with peers and teachers, and to grow personally, socially and academically. As we prepare to take time off from school for the Veteran’s Day holiday and Thanksgiving break, we appreciate everyone’s efforts to avoid taking extra days off during this holiday season.
Thank you for partnering with us!
Sincerely,
Janelle Eyet
Superintendent
