Back to School Info

Welcome Back multiple bullpups and flowers

Welcome Back to School Bullpups!

First Day Ready

We are ready to officially begin the 2024-2025 school year tomorrow!🐾

I wanted reach out to provide you with some important updates, information and clarifications before we get this year underway. There are a lot of details, so please read carefully!

Schedules are live on Aeries and can be accessed through the Aeries portal. We encourage ALL to revisit and double check schedules for any changes to their class schedule before school tomorrow morning. *We encourage students to write down their schedule as phones are to be off and away all day*

Please note, if the data confirmation completion and/or 7th grade immunizations records were not updated the student will not have a schedule. Please contact us asap to complete the process at 925.335.5820.

Student Arrival:

School-provided breakfast begins at 7:45am. Students eating breakfast should report directly to the cafeteria upon arrival.
Drop-off begins at 8:00am where staff supervision will be present. Students should head directly on to campus and remain until the end of the school day.

School Drop-Off/Pick-Up:

Please take a look at the information below to help with a smooth drop-off and pick-up:

Remain in your car, pull as forward as possible and have only your student exit.
Please do your best to NOT block our neighbors driveways / let them exit when needed and always be respectful to our neighbors.
Please drive slowly and safely!
Stay in your vehicle
Please do not block or park in the Vic's parking lot.
We recommend that all bikers, walkers, and scooters remain on the sidewalk and use crosswalks. Students must ALWAYS WALK their bike/scooter on campus.

*Planners will be passed out in homeroom this week to our Bullpups!

Phone Free Bullpups

MJHS is a phone free campus, meaning all phones must be off and in backpacks throughout the entire school day to allow for full attention, focus, and engagement. Please check in with your students to make sure they:

understand the expectation and the importance of being focused on learning
have a plan for where they store their phone in their bag throughout the day
smartwatches should be in school mode and not used during school
remind your Bullpup that every classroom and office has a phone they can use

Picture Days Via PE Class

We will have two picture days this year. Student picture day will depend on their PE teacher.

All pictures will be taken during students assigned PE class.

Our picture days are scheduled as follows:

Thursday, 8/15: All students enrolled in Azevedo or Edwards
Friday, 8/16: All students enrolled in Duarte or Teutschel

Our photo company, Mugsy Clicks will be emailing photo proofs and ordering information directly to all families soon after picture day.
